Our Flagship Project

Colocated Renewable Energy Microgrid and Data Center Hub

Quantia focuses on aggregating and generating renewable resources within purpose-built power and connectivity hubs, designed to support sustainable regional growth and the evolving needs of the data and digital infrastructure industries.

Energy development experience spanning 30 years of 100s of MW within Costa Rica and greater LATAM.

Nearly 50 years of data center chief executive experience and successful exits in Costa Rica and USA.

  • 785 Acre total project
  • Phase 1 Carbon-Neutral Objective: On-site, self-consumption, semi-autonomous microgrid of hybrid renewable and alternative energy, structured as an independent electricity generation hub, connected to national grid for back-up

  • Phase 1 Redundant Power Deliverables: 65MW of wind and 25MW of solar and 2.9M sf, scalable to an aggregate over 400MW in later phases

Wind Turbine and Solar Design

Special Class Wind Resource Zone

Considered a special class wind resource zone (IEC-S Class)

for extreme winds (Wind Velocity >= 10m/s, shown in red)

Placement of 15 turbines on the property

marked by “x” on topographical map

Hydroelectric grid back-up connection through ICE

Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) Mayorga Substation 10km from site with 3ph, medium-voltage transmission lines 34.5KV ) to be built to site

Wind and solar power (dry season) complements hydroelectric power (wet season)

due to seasonality of renewable resources

On-site diesel generators and battery energy storage systems (BESS)

as a standard, recharged overnight from off-peak grid
